However, the hardenability of SS 347 Pipes can be minimized by the use of constant positive feeds and slow speeds. The high temperature oxidation resistance of SS 347H Tubes is similar to that of stainless steel 304, where it is further useful to 1500 °F. Alloy 347 Pipes is good for applications at temperatures where carbide precipitation occurs in non – stabilized grades. Applications of Alloy 347H Tubes include catalytic crackers (cat crackers), cyclones, transfer lines, furnace parts, steam piping, super-heater headers, and so on.
